Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Day at Peabody Retirement Community

At Peabody Retirement Community, honoring those who served is more than a tradition—it’s a heartfelt expression of gratitude. This year’s Veterans Day service was a meaningful and uplifting celebration of the 51 veterans who proudly call Peabody home, as well as every veteran across our nation.

A Community Filled With Heroes

We are privileged to have veterans from various branches of the military living throughout our campus. Their stories, sacrifices, and continued leadership enrich our community each and every day. To all veterans—past, present, and future—thank you for your service and for the selfless commitment you made to protect our freedom.

The words of John 15:13 guided our time together:
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.”
This powerful reminder set the tone for a service filled with reflection, appreciation, and unity.

A Beautiful Service of Honor and Gratitude

Yesterday’s Veterans Day service was truly special. We are grateful to:

  • Pastor JP for leading a thoughtful, heartfelt program
  • All Peabody staff who helped coordinate and support the event
  • American Legion Post #286, whose presence and participation added a meaningful tribute to our ceremony

Together, we created a space where residents, families, and team members could pause, remember, and give thanks to the men and women who have sacrificed so much.

Thank You, Veterans

To every veteran at Peabody and beyond: we honor you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your courage and service. Your legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy today, and it is our privilege to celebrate you—not just on Veterans Day, but every day.
