Discover the North Manchester Farmers Market

Seniors at the farmer's market buying fruits and vegetables.

Looking for a farmers market near you? Look no further than beautiful downtown North Manchester, where the annual farmer’s market takes place from May – October. The North Manchester Farmers Market showcases the hard work and talent of our local farmers, vendors, and artisans.

Not only are farmers markets a great way to support local farms and small business owners, but they’re also a good way to sample a variety of foods that are in-season during the warmer months of the year. Incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet provides you with many nutritional benefits, including essential vitamins, minerals, and cancer-fighting antioxidants.

Here’s a preview of the wonderful local vendors you can expect to meet at this year’s market:

The Denney Farm is a second-generation family farm from Silver Lake, Indiana. They offer in-season produce including several heirloom varieties. The Denney Farm also taps their own maple trees for old fashioned maple syrup, cooked over an open fire. They also offer baked goods including breads, cookies, and granola.

Bolinger Family Farm offers wholesome freezer beef, including beef steaks, roasts, ground beef, cube steak, hamburger patties and more. They also offer fresh farm eggs and maple syrup for sale. Bolinger Family Farm is located right here in North Manchester, Indiana.

Templar Farms is based in Andrews, IN and features several varieties of local wildflower honey, mixed homemade soaps, and beeswax candles. If you’re curious about how bees make honey from pollen, feel free to stop by their booth and ask a question. They would be glad to answer you!

You’ll also find an impressive variety of local goods including fruits, vegetables, jams and jellies, breads, pies, pastries, coffee, jewelry, crafts, artwork, flowers and plants, and much more!

The North Manchester Farmer’s Market is located at 500 East Main Street and is easy to find at the corner of Wayne and Main Streets. The Saturday market hours are 8 a.m. until noon. During the week, the Wednesday market is open from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

If you can’t make to the North Manchester Farmers Market, we have a few local farms that would be happy for you to stop by and pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and other locally grown food. At the Hawkins Family Farm in North Manchester, you can find eggs, pork, beef, chicken, maple syrup, honey, raw-milk cheese at their self-serve farm store. Or, try River Ridge Farms in Laketon. There, you can find a variety of produce, including lettuce, swiss chard, kale, collards, scallions, rhubarb, leeks, onions, garlic, radishes, and more!
